CAPACITY CLASS / 100 TON — HEAVY HAUL
100 Ton Truck Scale for Mining and Port Heavy Haul
The 100 ton class is engineered for the top of the duty range: mine haul trucks, quarry loads, ore and aggregate export at ports, and any site where a single axle can shock the deck.
Heavy haul is a different problem from gate weighing. The vehicle is longer, the axle grouping is wider, and the load arrives with impact. A single 3,500 mm deck is rarely the right answer; this is where ZDG-type modular platforms earn their place, letting two or more sections share a long wheelbase so no axle group hangs off the edge.
The structure is the same fully welded U-section closed cavity we use across the range, but it is validated against the 2,000,000-cycle third-party fatigue test with the heavy case in mind, and finished with Sa2.5 blasting plus a double-sided, double-layer coating at >= 120 um dry film. Load cells carry a 150% overload margin to absorb the shock of a loaded axle dropping onto the platform.
At ports and mine gates the scale is often only one node in a chain. We supply the deck alongside licence plate capture, LED information boards and a data acquisition subsystem, and our in-house installation and commissioning teams handle the alignment tolerances on site. Trusted in 70+ countries, with an annual output of 10,000+ units, the line is built for this scale of project.

FIG. 01 — Plan view, modular deck, not to scale
When a fleet mixes rigid tippers with long articulated haulers, ZDG-type multi-platform configurations match the axle spacing instead of forcing every vehicle onto one deck length. The module count is a quoted variable, which is why we ask for the wheelbase before pricing a 100 ton site.

FAQ
100 ton class questions
Can you build a non-standard deck size?
Yes. The published 3,500 x 1,000 mm and 4,200 x 1,000 mm decks are our starting points, and ZDG-type modular platforms let us match unusual axle spacing. Send the vehicle wheelbase and site footprint and we return a dimensioned proposal.
What accuracy should I expect?
For dynamic weigh-in-motion the stated figure is +/- 0.5% of gross weight, with a single-axle class of E under the manual caliber. Static weighbridge accuracy is confirmed against the issued drawing during factory calibration for the chosen configuration.
How is the deck protected against corrosion?
Steel is blasted to Sa2.5, then coated with a double-sided, double-layer system measured at a dry film of at least 120 um. The fully welded closed cavity removes the internal pockets where water usually collects.
Has the structure been fatigue tested?
The standard platform has passed a 2,000,000-cycle fatigue test carried out by a third party. We publish the figure because cyclic axle loading, not a single static load, is what ends a weighbridge's life.
What overload margin is built in?
Load cells and the WIM plate are rated for 150% overload. That margin is there for the incidental shock of a heavy axle dropping onto the deck, not for sustained overloading.
